I’m everybody’s neighbor or nobody’s, but I never labor.
My lives are too short to stray too far or work too hard.
It’s way more interesting to watch, wait, and wonder.
Sure, it’s okay to honor hard work. But what about play?
Shouldn’t we devote more days, more space for that?
Shouldn’t we pause every day for at least an hour or so?
Cause when it’s all over, I know what will happen.
We’ll wish we worked less and played more.
So true…
And such a great photo of “our” cat!

Well it is a day off work to honor working, but then we (at least I) get miffed when the sushi restaurant I want to go to is closed for the holiday. I’m right there with you. Let’s have a Play Day. Sometime in mid-September would be wonderful.

Maybe sushi tonight instead? Have a great day, Jeff!

We got ‘fake sushi’ from the supermarket last night. OK, but never quite the same. Have you ever checked in with your neighbors to see if others have the same depth of relationship with that cat as you do?

The neighbors all “know” Poly. She climbs onto back patios, etc., but they don’t have the time or inclination to pamper her like we do.
